The Dick Lane Velodrome

The Dick Land Velodrome is located on Lexington Ave but you can get a better view of it from Headland Drive. They host events throught the year for kids and adults.
A little fact I found interesting from their site "Dick Lane is the only velodrome in the world with a green space that contains a large oak tree and a creek running through the in-field."
The first photo here is from their Facebook page and it is courtisy of  Jon Woodroof at  www.twotoneatl.com

These next few photos are from the gardens that surround the site. More will be taken, it just started raining when I attempted these.

Family Life Ministries

Family Life Ministries, located on Church Street, provides food and counseling for the Tri-Cities area. They always need donations. Drop offs are welcome or call them and they will come pick it up.

Oz Pizza

I absolutely LOVE this place. It's not expensive, has great outdoor seeting, and is delicious. You can find them off of Main Street just across from the Marta Station.
They have active Twitter  and Facebook accounts too.

Tri-Cities High School

Although I did not attend Tri-Cities I knew a lot of people who did and this school is a huge part of East Point.

Dairy Queen

Just off Norman Berry, this is one of the places we'd go for ice cream as a kid; before Tri Cities High School was around.

South Fulton Hospital

I thought it appropriate to have my first entry be my first experience in East Point. Here is where I was born.
